Weather station woes...

Well, some things are just not easy ... the day we left for Thanksgiving w/ Alex & Keri in Louisville was the same day the wind vane & anemometer mast came tumbling down. When I awoke Tuesday morning, I glanced out the sunroom to find - horrors! - the mast holding the wind sensors was not in place; it had fallen from the deck about 10 feet to the ground below, ripping the cable connecting it to the weather station in two. With much consternation (but no time to do anything else), I hauled the fallen mast & sensors into the basement until after our return home from our impending trip. About a week after we returned home the next Monday I finally received the needed replacement parts to repair the severed cable and, with much anticpation I raised the newly installed mast (much more firmly situated) and re-initialized the weather station this past Sunday afternoon. Voila! We have data! ..... for 24 hours or so. The next evening (Monday) at 9 or so, I suddenly "lost" all connection between the station and the monitor in the house. As of now (Tuesday evening) there is still no connection, despite verifying that there is a signal from the ISS (weather station) and that the console does, in fact, work. After several calls to tech support, I've still learned - nothing. The speculation is that there is some interference (cordless phone, etc.), but we've been unable to verify it yet. Oh, well ... tomorrow is another day; with help from the Davis tech support guys, I'll have another "go" at it . It's just all so very frustrating.....
